Sheeep is built on the philosophy that you should own your project memory. We don't store your docs, we don't track your thoughts, and we don't have a "cloud".
We have no database.
Unlike traditional productivity tools, Sheeep does not store your content on its own servers. There is no central Sheeep database where your notes or boards reside.

You open Sheeep in VS Code or on the Web.

Sheeep authenticates with GitHub to access your repository.

Files are read directly from your repo and rendered locally on your device.
Repo-Level Security
In other tools, you manage permissions inside their app. In Sheeep, your security is as strong as your Git provider.
Access to docs is controlled by your repository permissions. If someone shouldn't see the code, they can't see the docs.
Every change is a Git commit. You know exactly who changed what and when, with the full history preserved in your own infrastructure.
Free & Unlimited
Because we don't own your data, we don't have to charge you to store it.
Why is it free?
Traditional tools charge per user or per gigabyte because they are hosting your data on their expensive cloud infrastructure.
Sheeep is different. Since all your data is stored on your repository, you are already paying for the storage via GitHub or your own Git host. We don't have "cloud costs" for your docs, so we can offer unlimited teams and infinite docs for free.
Why this is more secure.
Traditional "invite-only" apps require you to trust their application-level permissions. Sheeep bypasses this by making your Source Code the source of truth for both code and memory.
